Global Housing Market and Its Impact on Korea 

Housing market, we usually say, would have been domestic issues and been strictly stuck to locality until 2008 global financial crisis changed all. When I began seeking investment opportunities in global real estate market, I also came across foreign news articles concerning about global real estate bubbles since early 2007. September 2008 quickly influenced on both global and domestic housing market. However with strong financial measures, e.g. TARP and QE, we firstly could see a recovery in U.S housing market begging the first quarter of 2012. And other countries followed that trend. Unlike global housing market, domestic housing prices are still behind that.

Having experienced both the global financial crisis and its turnaround, I expect to see a similar time line between the global market and Korean domestic one. I predict it was 2-3 years. Considering the U.S housing prices were recovering in the early 2012, I see a recovery in Korean housing market by late 2014 or in the middle of 2015.
